Sometimes the dancer’s movement gives access to multiple states of lights. In Nicole & Norbert Corsino’s work, this refers to a vital proposal: to place oneself, as a creator, as a body in the light fluctuations of video, of film. Making oneself the subject of such a range of reflections.
Not only occupying the media, the spaces of the image’s technology: if N + N Corsino have involved themselves so deeply in the image-future of their dance, it is because, above and beyond thought and consciousness, something in the folds of the body and of emotion had always connected them to the wandering of brightness and of colours, to the poetic transformation of substances.
