Anna de la côte (Anna from the coast)
From films to shores, with the freshness and accent of subtle dissidence, in Anna de la Côte, Nicole & Norbert Corsino pursue a quest governed by fantasy and the precision of writing. These pure-hearted champions, inseparable Tintins of dance-fiction, also master the art of correct framing and the infallibility of montage/editing. Without frustrating or tiring the spectator/viewer, their stories – little models of logical mysteries touched by the spirit of the open sea – are constructed like detective stories: short, rapid and vibrant with light. Present in the image, but mischievously evading any narcissism, N + N, sometimes through a stand-in, with their minute winged movements, draw a spontaneous choreographic alphabet that is quite similar to that of the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs.
