Meeting with the Meyer Foundation Laureates

The Meyer Foundation is developing a residency program dedicated to creators in the field of writing. Since 2023, she has been associated with the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris (CNSMD), the CinéFabrique of Lyon and Marseille as well as Montevidéo and the ActOral Festival.

In 2024, these partnerships will expand to the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations (MUCEM) in Marseille and the Higher School of Journalism in Lille. This program is aimed at professionals who wish to develop a writing project in the field of music or dance, cinema, literature, research or journalism. With the first four winners of fall 2024: Rachida Brahim sociologist, Adrien Morat journalist, Robin Faymonville writer, Diala Al Hindaoui screenwriter and director.

Rachida Brahim is a sociologist born in 1982. Her doctoral thesis was published under the title “Race kills twice. A history of racist crimes in France (1970-2000) » (Éditions Syllepse - 2021). This book highlights the mechanisms and impact of structural racism in France. During this research, the question of colonial trauma was continually present. After completing her PhD, she turned to psychoanalysis and completed her training with a course in metapsychology and psychopathology in order to equip herself, offer therapeutic support and continue her work on this underlying dimension.
Graduate of the ESJ Lille in journalism specialty reporter images and master audiovisual designer (ENS Cachan, INA Sup, École des Chartes), Adrien Morat is particularly interested in audiovisual archives. In this context, he developed a documentary film project entitled Biafra 1968, La guerre des images which won the SCAM’s Draft of a Journalistic Dream grant. Adrien Morat is the author of the programme Affaires sensibles, broadcast daily on France Inter. In another field of radio, he has produced three episodes of Feet on Earth broadcast on France Culture. 
Robin Faymonville lives and works in Brussels. He publishes texts for reviews and performs at various institutions. Alongside Clarisse Michaux, he is the initiator of the «Supersport Literature» events and the A4 micro magazine. He is currently writing his first novel, a story of doubles and resentment.
Diala Al Hindaoui is a Syrian screenwriter and director who has been living in Paris since 2016. She directed her first short documentary film entitled "Two pieces of memory", winning the audience prize at the Noisy-le-sec Arab Film Festival. In 2023, she directed a short documentary film entitled "Fatmé", receiving the Young Creation Award at Fipadoc, and the Audience Award at Cinéma du Réel. She is currently responsible for the film department at Al-Ayoun and is also working on her first feature documentary.
